During the month of February, The Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack organized a stuffed toy drive, along with Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad and Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad. Due to overwhelming support from the public, this first annual toy drive was a huge success! On Saturday, March 12, Volunteers from Hollywood, Mechanicsville and Leonardtown met at the Maryland State Police Barrack in Leonardtown to distribute the stuffed animals. As you can see from the pictures, there are quite a few new "members" of our Volunteer Rescue Squads!

These new "members" have already received their new assignments. These stuffed animals are carried on our apparatus and are used to comfort youngsters we encounter.

We would like to thank Trooper Ruth of the Maryland State Police for organizing this event and the community for the tremendous support of this toy drive!
