At 0729, Hollywood VRS, Hollywood VFD and Mechanicsville VRS responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Three Notch Road and South Sandgates Road. Ambulance 798 responded with 4 personnel. As the first arriving unit, the crew arrived on scene and found 2 vehicles approximately 500 feet apart. Sheriff's Office personnel advised the more serious injury was in the car in the median. While the majority of the crew went to work assessing the patient in the first car, another member went to check on the occupants in the second car. After determining the second car was going to be all signed refusals, they were turned over to the crew on Ambulance 296.

Extrication efforts were performed on the one injury in the first car. The crew from Squad 7 secured the car, and removed the driver's side doors and B pillar. The patient was backboarded and transported to St. Mary's Hospital.
