On June 20, Calvert County requested HVRS GATOR 79 to respond to a Technical Rescue in the Port Republic area. A subject had fallen in the woods about 1-2 miles off of the main road near overhead power lines. EMS 79 responded with the GATOR. Upon arrival, the GATOR was unloaded and proceeded to the site. Crews from Calvert County had already packaged the patient. MSP TROOPER 6 was requested to perform a hoist operation. GATOR 79 was used to transport the patient from the fall site to a clearing, where he could be hoisted to TROOPER 6 and transported to an area Trauma Center.
