The membership of the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad has approved the Purchase of a 2008 Horton Model #555 Crash Barrier Demonstrator on a 2008 GMC C4500 medium duty chassis.
Chassis features include Duramax diesel engine, 16,500lb GVWR with Monroe air ride suspension. This unit features the next generation VI-Tech Mounting System, Horton Crash Barrier configuration, Intelliplex multiplex electrical system, all Whelen LED lighting, an Edge series LED light bar, Horton silhouette lighted LED rub rails, Dual Whelen sirens and power O2 lift.
The module features a 20amp Kussmaul auto-eject shoreline, Avonite countertops, power door locks on all compartment & entrance doors, 2 oxygen outlets, 2 115 volt outlets, 3 12 volt DC outlets, built in glove holders above the squad bench, combination sharps and waste container built into the end of the squad bench, LED dome lights with checkout timer, as well as numerous electrical options and upgrades included.
The unit is due for delivery in mid January. Upon delivery the unit will be lettered by DANZ LETTERING, then driver training will be completed.
The unit is due to be placed in service in the spring.
