On Monday, September 21, Webelos Scout #1785 visited the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad. The scouts were given a tour, inside and outside, of Ambulance 799. Captain Kelley Rhodes and 1st Lieutenant Barbara Wible demonstrated various equipment the EMT's use when responding on calls. The scouts tried on turn-out gear and helmets. They also learned how to splint an injured arm. Bags containing magnets, pencils, bracelets and other EMS material were given to the scouts. The HVRS members enjoyed talking with the young scouts.
