St. Mary's County Public Schools officially open for students, tomorrow, August 24th. Many parents are breathing a sign of relief and many youngsters are disappointed that Summer Vacation is over.

With students going back to school, that means School Buses will be back on the roads. When driving, please pay attention for Buses on the roads and exercise extra caution throughout neighborhoods, at School Bus Stops and at our area schools. Please remember that if you see a School Bus with alternating flashing yellow lights, the bus is preparing to stop and when the bus is displaying alternating flashing red lights, the bus is stopped. Please review the graphic below to remind yourself when you need to stop for a School Bus displaying alternating flashing red lights.
